We look forward to seeing you at our annual Club Grading Day this Thursday 9 February, on the outdoor courts at Templestowe (cnr Foote and Anderson Streets).

As we have single teams in U9/U15/Opens, these age groups are not required to attend for team selection

Check In:

On arrival, please check in and have your name marked off.

Check the game plan schedule to see which rounds you are playing in then head to the warm up area (Court 2).

The game plans will also be posted around the courts, as well as on the check in table.

If you are playing in Rounds 1 or 2, please collect your playing bib at the warm up area so you are ready to step on court at 4pm.

Game Plan:

All players will play TWO games each (two 7 minute rounds).

All games will be played on Court 1.

Each player will play in at least one of their two preferred positions, and in most cases, both preferred positions.

In some cases, players will play three rounds, to help fill all positions.  This is to ensure all positions on the court are covered for each game.

Please just try your best and bring a positive attitude to whatever position you are allocated.

DDNA Representative players are free to leave as soon as they have participated in their two playing rounds, so they can get to their game on time.

Could all other age group players please stay until the end of the scheduled time slot (5pm) in case fill-in players are needed for any players that can’t attend.

Clothing:

Please just wear shorts and a t-shirt.

There is no need to wear Club uniform or training attire to the grading games.

Support:

If you need any help during the session, please look out for one of our helpful committee members, who will all be wearing their Panthers black polo shirts.

If your child is feeling apprehensive about the day, please reassure them that we take many factors into account when selecting our teams and that Grading Day is just one part of the process.

We expect a few nerves on the day and will provide players with plenty of encouragement throughout the session.

We look forward to seeing you all there!

Best wishes

Your Committee
